Danish Artist Silke Bonde Reminds Us that Nature is Essential

Danish Artist Silke Bonde Reminds Us that Nature is Essential

Working from her studio close to nature, Silke Bonde transforms flat paper to dimensional artworks, each of them inspired by nature. The one-off pieces are crafted with meticulous attention using watercolours on heavy, quality paper, cut out and shaped by Silke’s imagination.

Drawing inspiration from her time in nature; be it the walk home by the lake from the kids’ kindergarten, or her childhood memories of picking wild blueberries in her grandmother’s garden, Silke Bonde’s artworks are playful, yet exuding calmness adding a classic, minimal touch to your walls.

One of my favourite things are the artworks’ titles: ‘Vildnis’, ‘Fuldt Flor’, ‘Sorbet’ and ‘Varm Strand’ are the sweetest names, ever. (Wilderness, In Full Bloom, Sorbet and Warm Beach).

“Nature is essential to you and to me. I see it as my goal to keep reminding us.”

— Silke Bonde, Danish artist
